Elements of Art (Cube)
LineA Line is a mark that is horizontal, vertical, or diagonal; straight or curved; thick or thin. Here I used different sizes and shapes to create an arrow.
SpaceSpace is the area between and around objects. In visual art, when we create the feeling or illusion of depth, we call it space. This drawing is of a tree and it's roots in positive and negative space.

ShapeShapes are two-dimensional, closed lines, figures. They can be geometric or organic. Here I used a mixture of organic and geometric shapes to draw this odd framed squiggle.
ColorColor has three main characteristics: hue (the color or shade), value (how light or dark it is), and intensity (how bright or dull it is). In this I drew an artists pallet and paint brush with different colors.

FormForm is three-dimensional shapes. In my picture I drew I green cube, but if you look closely there is a bit of a twist. Let me know if you figure it out.
ValueValue is the lightness or darkness of tones or colors. In my drawing I shaded from a dark blue to a light blue

The elements of art are defined as the visual components used by artists to create a work of art. The six elements are lines, shape, form, space, color, and texture and value. In this project we demonstrated our knowledge of the elements by displaying are creative designs on a little paper cube.
I have always enjoyed art, this project gave me a better perspective of the values in art pieces. The feedback from my peers during the project was very helpful, making sure that my art was neat and the correct element we were working on. I struggled slightly with is how many times we had to do peer edits for just one side of the cube. It was frustrating because very few people were actually giving me helpful critiques.
